At the age of 6 she took home a prize in a surf contest with a used board found in the trash bin outside of her house. When she was 5 years old, she was surfing, and, at the age of 6, won the first time in a competition. At the age of reached 7 she had sponsorship. Ashley was the winner of in the 2010 Pipeline Women's Pro, Hawaii. Ashley is ranked 59th in the Women's Qualification Series for 2014. Anastasia Ashley posed in 2014 for the magazines Sport's Illustrated and Maxim Magazine. In collaboration with OK1984, a company that makes jewelry, in 2014, she launched the Gypsy Jet Set line of jewelry.
