She graduated in 2007 with her bachelor's degree in art and history from Columbia University. In 2017 she joined The View, a morning talk-show The View where she co-hosted until 2021. She was awarded the show's four Daytime Emmy award nominations for the show's efforts. McCain has also become an Daily Mail contributor after her 3-year tenure at The View. McCain also wrote four books, including The Story of My Dad John McCain, Dirty Sexy Politics and America You Sexy Bitch.
